JOINING WORLD PATIENT SAFETY DAY (SEPTEMBER 17)

September 17 is observed annually as **World Patient Safety Day**, designated by the **World Health Organization (WHO)to raise global awareness of patient safety, encourage the engagement of stakeholders, and strengthen actions to reduce preventable harm in healthcare.

The 2026 theme, “Safe Care for Noncommunicable Diseases,”with the slogan “Safe Care for Life!”, highlights the importance of ensuring that people living with noncommunicable diseases receive safe, continuous, high-quality, and patient-centered care throughout their treatment and long-term health management journey.
